I cannot express enough how wonderful our experience was with Dr. Maria! From the moment we walked in, she made us feel so comfortable and confident that our kitty was in the best hands. She took the time to thoroughly examine our little one, explaining everything she was doing and ensuring our kitty was as relaxed as possible. Her compassionate approach and gentle demeanor really stood out, and it was clear she truly cares about her patients.

Dr. Maria also took the time to answer all of our questions and provided valuable advice for our girl’s care. It’s not every day you find a vet who combines expertise with such a warm, caring personality. We’re beyond grateful to have found Dr. Maria, and we know our kitty is in safe hands with her. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated, kind-hearted vet!

We found a mangled little stray and they treated her with as much love and care as they would any other beloved pet brought to them. Then, after spending $500+ at your classic “too-busy-to-care” Vet with still no help for my other kitty, I brought him to Dr. Maria and she was easily able to diagnose, treat, and release him same-day, with no issues. (with way less pain and stress, too) They really are experts in animal care + have truly kind hearts. Highly recommend.

This place is great! We took our dog in on Friday after our regular vet wouldn’t fit us in, despite my dog being injured and in a lot of pain. Dr. Maria was able to sedate our dog to get her bandaged up painlessly, and she gave us meds to keep her comfortable over the weekend while she recovered. I felt the price was extremely reasonable, especially considering the amount I’ve paid for emergency visits at my vet. Considering that local vets won’t even see their own patients for emergencies lately, this place is a very welcome addition to West Hawaii.

Amazing doctor that helped us in an emergency with our dog and a freak stick injury. She worked very quickly and effectively and was compassionate and kind. She showed us photos of the injury and the work she did to stitch it up super clean. So lucky she was open on a Sunday!!

Dr. Maria is amazing and very knowledgeable. She saved our Mika dog at an emergency visit by quickly diagnosing Mast Cell cancer that had been missed 2x by our former vet. Mast cell cancer causes anaphylaxis and a host of other symptoms and, if left untreated, can quickly and suddenly take your dogs life. We're so grateful for her knowledgeable and compassionate care. 2 surgeries and a year of chemo, and we've already had 3 extra years with our sweet girl, and she is still living a great life! We would have lost our beloved cat, Hilo, without Dr. Maria. She accommodated us, and did emergency surgery for a blocked urethra. She was extremely professional, explained plans in depth, let us see him after surgery, gave us an estimate, and called in the evening to report he’s doing well.
What a blessing she and her service is to the pets and pet parents on the West side.
