I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the care my dog received while staying with Toby. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that she and her dogs Raven, Jonah, and Wally were a wonderful fit for my pup.

As this was our first time leaving him, we were understandably anxious, but Toby quickly put our worries to rest. She is truly a godsend, radiating warmth and kindness. Knowing my dog was in such loving hands made all the difference.

During his stay, he had the time of his life! The way Toby interacts with her dogs and my pup is nothing short of special. He returned home happy, healthy, clearly not wanting to leave his new friends.

Words can't express the love my dog, Roo, and I have for Wild Pup Adventures. I moved to Portland in early 2020 and tried out a few different services, but I knew when Roo came home his first day on his adventure with Toby that this was the best one. Roo is a 3-year old golden retriever with a bossy attitude and endless energy and I have personally never seen him so tired as when he comes back from his weekly adventure.
Toby, the owner/trainer, is truly a dog whisperer. Not only has she helped me with individual training sessions for Roo, but she manages to keep 6-7 dogs at her full attention the entire time she is out in the wilderness with them. Toby takes them to different terrain and places around Portland every week and her knowledge of the forest/beach/anywhere is incredible!!
You can truly see the love in my dog's eyes when we walk up to her van and in all of the amazing pictures that she takes during the day.
I moved to Bend recently and was SO sad to not be apart of WPA anymore. If anyone is looking for the best thing you can buy for your dog, I always recommend this service. I would give 150 stars if google let me, we will MISS YOU TOBY THANK YOU!!!

There are no adequate words that encapsulate how awesome Wild Pup Adventure is!!! Our wild pup Lucy has been adventuring with Toby and team since she was six months old and it's by far the best thing we could have ever done for our favorite furry family member. First of all, Toby is an incredible leader and small business owner. Her knowledge of dog care, training, wilderness, and safety is beyond impressive. The outdoor treks that Toby plans and executes for these pups make the rest of us who are stuck at work all day very jealous. We get to live vicariously through the beautiful photos that Tobi captures and shares with the parents after each adventure.

If you have an energetic dog at home and want to do something special to improve their quality of life, I highly recommend signing them up for Wild Pup Adventure!

My dog dog 🐶 and I really appreciate this service. My large breed needs lot of exercise and Toby gives that to him in spades. He launches into her adventure van, so I know he is happy to be going out with her and the pack. She videos & photographs her adventure experience with the pups and gives them the freedom to be dogs in great locations free of people and dangerous cars found on the cities concrete jungle. My boy comes home zonked. He sleeps long and hard after his adventure, so I know his brain activity is healthily recharging, so important in all dogs but especially a young pup. I highly recommend this service for anybody that has a high energy dog that needs extra stimulation. Thank you Toby for being a great lack leader!

Saw Wild Pups on instagram and that it is a local, women owned business. We wanted to support! Our dog cannot spend all day adventuring but, we did a meet and greet with Toby and are able to board with her pack. Our dog loves getting to hang out with the Wild Pups and Toby is fabulous to work with. I don’t know how she does it but, the dogs she works with are so fortunate. Toby is an amazing trainer! She took time to get to know me and my pup, Tillie, and created a plan that was tailored to our needs. Her philosophy is centered on learning your dog's behavior and using techniques and tools that are best suited for that dog. She has helped me learn Tillie's body language and signals better. Every training session was well planned and they built on each other systematically, so that by the fourth session Tillie was doing more advanced skills. It is really hard to implement a new training protocol and Toby was very sensitive to that and encouraged me through the process. She made sure I knew exactly what to do and had a plan for the week. I was blown away by Toby's support throughout this entire process. If something came up mid-week, I could reach out to her and work through the issue. She would check in and remind me to practice certain skills and this was a huge reason that we were able to make the changes. Tillie and I get on so much better now and people are noticing how much calmer she is. I am so thankful that I had the opportunity to work with Toby. Her experience is invaluable and the knowledge that she shares makes a huge impact in getting to know your dog better.

Review for boarding:
It makes me both so happy and jealous boarding Hanalei with Toby because she gets to spend everyday doing something amazing with all her best buds, which is also why we think she loves Toby more than us. It warms my heart and puts me at ease when we’re away knowing that Toby will never kennel our baby. She gets nothing but the best treatment from Toby: cuddles in bed, daily outings, quality grooming time, and plenty of play time. I would not hesitate for a millisecond about sending your baby to Toby when you’re away. Her rates are great and your pup will be the happiest he/she will ever be.

Toby is a god sent dog whisperer. She bonded immediately with Hanalei and treats her like her own child. If you’ve seen any of WPA videos, you know that these dogs explore all types of terrains, yet we have the utmost faith that Toby will keep all her babies safe. Hanalei absolutely adores Toby and gets so excited every time we even mention her name. There are a few doggy adventure companies in Portland, but WPA is the absolute BEST!! I love that Hanalei has been added to the pack and gets to spend her Wednesdays on long adventures exploring hidden parts of Oregon that are unknown to most, all while getting the opportunity to socialize with dogs of all personalities to improve her social skills. Toby is also a gifted photographer and videographer. I love that she shares hundreds of photos and video clips of their adventures so we can live vicariously through her lens. Her photos are spectacular and I can’t wait to get a photo book of Hanalei on all her adventures.

Lots of people love dogs but Toby at Wild Pup Adventures really understands them! I feel so fortunate to have her training guidance and real expertise as we adopted our rescue pup, Yuji. As new dog owners we felt unsure and a bit overwhelmed—Toby helped us better understand our dog and be more effective in our training efforts. The understanding of dog behavior she brings to training sessions really made communicating and connecting with our dog so much more successful. She helped us look beyond skill acquisition to the foundation needed to establish a strong bond with our pup and avoid common pitfalls. We are still at the beginning stage of training and have seen so much progress already! I highly recommend Toby and Wild Pup Adventures and hope our dog can someday join a pack and have adventures days with other dogs as part of living his best life!
