3+ hours in the ER with chest pain and a history in my family of heart problems. Was never seen by a doctor and left to go to a different hospital in Rome which had nearly as many individuals in the waiting room and was seen immediately before I was even fully signed in. If I could give a negative rating I would. This was my first time at Wynn and it is the absolute worst hospital in upstate NY. I will never come back since they clearly cannot handle the volume, genius idea closing 2 hospitals to open this crap facility. If you need to see a doctor do yourself a favor and go somewhere else, even if you drive an hour away to Syracuse you'll likely be seen faster than this terrible location.

The Emergency room here one would assume after combing 2 hospitals it would be better but its not. The hospital seems to lack organization and process for handling ER patients. The wait time can definitely be better if they had better process in place but right now it sucks. 9:20am arrived, 9:40 registration 9:50 blood work, 11am ultrasound and now its 3pm and nothing. I think 4hrs is more then generous to know what the ultrasound and labs showed and what will be done next Mychart shows me all this information but obviously im not a dr so waiting here to know 4hrs later and maybe another 2-3more hrs is no wonder most patients i have seen so far get upset.

I called the ER to try to get a feel for how busy they might be, or how long the wait may be, as my son was at an urgent care with a 105° fever and we were making no progress. Instead of helping us decide the person who answered (besides answering with "Yeah" and not even confirming that I had reached the ER) said that they can not give any information out about how busy they are, or how long the waits might be. I said "I'm not going to hold you to that but just want to get an idea..." She insisted she couldn't tell me anything. Healthcare in America...

Heard people SCREAMING for HOURS.
It's TERRIFYING. Why did they take our hospitals away? We will die waiting for help in this place. Do they have one doctor for 100's of people, idk. But I don't have great health & I'm VERY scared that this is it for emergency. St Elizabeth's would never have left people without help like this.
God help us all if this stays the only ER.

Expect unnecessarily long wait times. 9 hours later, we are still waiting (edit: we just left at 4am, started to be hostile environment as patients were snapping and losing their patience). If you can, just go somewhere else outside of Utica, cause this hospital just isn't ready. 70 "full" rooms for 9hrs straight (5+ patients waiting for 12hrs+) is a sign that they aren't ready and shouldn't have closed the other ERs in Utica.

They are racist. They don't care about little black autistic boys. Nor do they care about a black male employee that was injured on the job. They called 20 white people in the back and left the black people to sit. This is my second time coming here in two days. Due to there being a lack of staff lastnight. So super tract wasn't available. I'm not understanding how they closed two hospitals, and are understaffed at this hospital. Terrible experience. I hope that my child's eye doesn't fall out.

Had a great experience in the ED despite the circumstances. Very attentive and friendly staff.
