I can’t recommend Xavier enough! Working with him has been such a positive experience for both me and my 7-months old lab. What really impressed me about Xavier was how deeply he understands dogs—not just their behavior, but their personalities, emotions, and physical states. He doesn’t just train dogs; he truly tailors each session to meet our specific needs at the time.

From the very beginning, Xavier took the time to observe my dog and get to know her personality. He was able to quickly assess her energy levels, temperament, and even things like tiredness or potential growing pains. This kind of insight allowed him to adjust each session based on how my dog was feeling that day—whether she was a little worn out, hungry, or just not in the mood for certain exercises. It showed me that Xavier wasn’t just focused on results; he was focused on my dog’s well-being throughout the session. This attention to detail made the training feel more natural and less stressful for my dog.

Xavier also knows exactly what tools and treats to use to motivate and engage my dog effectively. From selecting the right leash/collar to knowing which treats would work best in each situation, he made sure every tool used was appropriate for my dog’s needs. It’s clear he’s well-versed in the importance of positive reinforcement and creating a rewarding, fun experience for my dog.

The way Xavier approached each session helped to build a lot of trust between us. He was patient and never rushed my dog, which allowed my dog to open up and become more confident during training. I could see my dog gaining trust in me too, as I was learning how to respond better to her cues and needs.

Overall, I had the great time working with Xavier for the past 2 months, and I’m so happy with the progress we’ve made. I feel much more confident in managing my dog’s behavior moving forward.

Xavier at K9 Coach LLC is an incredible hands on trainer who is extremely knowledgeable and professional when it comes to dog training. He has been training my dog since four months old. What I love best about Xavier is how not only does he closely work with your dog to teach them important skills, but he too teaches the human these important skills and how to follow through with them at home with consistency.

We have come so far through all of his basic commands, gentle walking, tracking and now we are working on open recall. He helps fit different collars and leashes on our dogs so they work appropriately during training. He is also extremely informative in how to approach situations outside of training and how to correct them. There is no one else on the island I would trust to train our guy.

I did a board and train with my 2 year own malinois. To say the least-“he didn’t play well with others”-anyone else actually! After attacking another trainer, Xavier took him for over 4 weeks. My dog did not make it easy, but when I picked him up, he was very responsive on the leash, and his reactions to other dogs were GREATLY reduced. Now he stays almost perfectly in a heel while walking with very little leash guidance. Following the boarding, we have made huge progress in the follow up sessions, and I can’t say enough good things about Xavier and his program. I’d recommend to ANYONE with a difficult dog- he’s the guy you want to help you!

My 9 month old rottweiler is reactive to everything. The previous trainer could not help. I wish I new Xavier then. Now at 13 months I needed help and contacted XlK9 coach Xavier. We invested in his board and train program for 5 anxious weeks. When we picked him up he was as happy as we left him. I highly recommend Xavier’s board and train program for people who are dedicated to training their dog, but have not been successful doing it themselves. It was an investment that we were glad we made for our four year old husky who had never learned to walk on a leash and generally ignored commands when we adopted her. After four weeks in Xavier’s board and train program our dog was much calmer, proficient in leash walking, and much more attentive to commands. Xavier sets a strong foundation, and owners must be willing to continually reinforce the skills when the dog comes home.

Don’t look anywhere else for a dog trainer!! 10s across the board

Xavier is a life saver. Silas had been attacked multiple times, making him fearful of other dogs and very leash reactive. He also had a problem with children. We searched everywhere for someone on the island to train our dog Silas. No one would give him a chance because he was too aggressive and they were afraid of him, not Xavier though! Not only was he very professional, his communication skills put you at ease when your dog is with him. Xavier used multiple resources to help Silas get over his fear and become the dog we always knew he could be. We are so so so thankful.

XL K9 Coach transformed my rowdy Cane Corso, (Bane), into an obedient superstar! Our trainer Xavier was and still is incredible, using positive reinforcement that made training exciting and effective. Bane learned commands quickly, and our bond grew stronger then ever.

The facilities are immaculate, perfect for training and socializing. This locally own business genuinely cares and their expertise shines through in every session. Bane now behaves amazingly on walks and interacts positively with other dogs and people.
