Best Fish & Chips! Travel a distance to get them from YPAS, the fish is fresh, clean tasting with a crispy batter. Chips are great and the mushy peas are perfect! Great little shop!

Yeah nothing like clearly been next to serve and serving some brainless idiot who just walked in and stuck his nose literally behind the counter, most simple thing ever but grinds my gears, “oh sorry these two behind you were here first” ever so simple but no, nothing better than waiting 10 mins behind a fussy order to then get blanked totally. What happened in the service industry. Bad enough paying almost 9 quid for an average slice of fish.

Had Fish and Chips, the Wife had Meat & Potatoe Pie and Chips, absolutely lovely, And the Gravy was exceptional?
Best Gravy I've tried from a Chippy, Also had a spam Fritter yummy.

Moved to Yorkshire a while back but couldn't find a decent chippy near us. Until today. When OH happened to come across Y pas on his way home from Tarn and guess what: it is the bizniz. Fresh fish fried in thin n crispy coat of batter, with scraps which I haven't had in years. Not a fan of chips but had a few of theirs and they were pretty damned good. Staff v. pleasant too. Now know where to come next time anybody fancies a chippy tea.

This is my new favourite chip shop! My local closed temporarily and I was forced to look further afield for my bi-weekly fried fish fix. Unfortunately for my local I now chose to drive past to go to Y-Pas. I particularly like the cod special, the batter is light and crisp and the fish as I remember it as a kid. The chips are veggie friendly and gluten free too in case that is your thing.
