I have had my chihuahua mix groomed twice by Zuma’s. Both experiences have been great. Scheduling has been easy and accommodating. Staff is very willing to work to correct any concerns I have had. Everyone I have worked with over the phone, by text and in person has been nothing but kind. Even when I asked to have my little guy shaved more than he had been, the groomer was happy to go back and make it happen. She made sure I understood concerns she had. Since I did understand, she gladly did what I asked. My pup has always come out looking great! I love the neckerchief and neck ties they give him. He always looks so handsome when I pick him up!

I took my small dog to Zuma for haircut, second time. First time was last year. The staff was great first time. They did an exceptional job. Today, I dropped him off and warned the groomer he doesn't respond well when getting head clipped. She said no worries, she uses scissors. Well, we didn't hear back, worried we went to check back on him since no one picked up phone. 2 hours was the time stated. 4 5 hours later we arrived to be told they had cut him with the scissors, used glue, like liquid bandages without notifying us. It's not life threatening, but infection and his past history of reactions to certain skin irritants has me concerned. They charged $100 for cut and just apologized. I took pictures. I'm furious they didn't call and cut him calling him a she! The haircut is mediocre at best. Didn't clip around his genitals, which might be a good thing if using scissors. I'm not pleased with the service this groomer provides and certainly won't return.

My son and his wonderful wife went away for a weekend and my daughter was on dog patrol. I decided these three needed a spa day and we went to Zumas. This was my first time here, and they were great. The very professional staff and groomers took great care to make sure everything was perfect. My son and his wife were so pleased and amazed at how well the dogs looked. I was so impressed with the entire experience, from the communication with the staff to the attention to detail with the owner. By the way the owner, Kristine, runs a great local business and is very supportive of her community, sponsoring several local athletic and academic clubs for Smithville. Overall, her team took such great care of these dogs and we will be back. Highly recommend. Thank you Kristine and your awesome team 🙂

We took our Newfypoo to be groomed last week. She came back looking beautiful and they even sent me a picture mid day to let me know she was fine. I'm happy to have found her and will be returning.

This was such a wonderful 1st time experience for my dog AND me! Neither one of us had ever used a groomer. The ladies were super friendly and chatted before hand to make sure they gave our dog the best experience. The mobile van made it super convenient and I got an appointment the same day I called. I highly recommend this service!

This was my first time using Zuma’s Mobile Pet Grooming and I am extremely satisfied with the service. My dog, Oscar, looks so adorable with his new haircut. Viola, our groomer was amazing! She took the time to listen to the type of cut I wanted for Oscar, looked at pictures of what I wanted and made sure she understood to ensure I was happy with the end result. Oscar is also a very picky with the people he allows around him, and he seemed very at ease with Viola right away, which made me feel at ease. 🙂 Highly recommend!!

Never using their services again! Long story short - was incorrectly told it would be $120 for both dogs but was charged $120 each, leaving me with a total of $240 for two dogs' grooming.

Now long story : Drive by here regularly and thought I would try it out since our new 6 month Goldendoodle puppy and our current 8 lb Maltese dog needed a haircut. Called and after receiving a text back, I thanked her for such a quick response. Specifically asked via text how much each dog would cost but never received an answer. I went ahead and scheduled this past Friday and thought I would ask the cost when I dropped the dogs off, knowing the average cost around here for my sized dogs is $45-60 (small dog) and $65-80 (bigger dog).

When I walked in, I asked the groomer how much the cost was going to be, which he replied, "$120". I then asked, "Is that $120 for both dogs, or each?" To which he replied, "That's for both dogs." Understanding that answer to mean my total would be $120 for grooming, I left the dogs. Had I known what they would actually charge my husband picking them up was $240, I never would have left my dogs to be groomed!

Upon my husband picking up the dogs and him calling me shocked that he was charged $240, which he paid because he was unsure of the situation, I immediately called to sort out the misunderstanding with the expectation I would be refunded $120 since the groomer miscommunicated the cost. I received a call back this afternoon and after the turn my conversation took with the owner, I am now spending my time writing this review.

Started friendly with me relaying that the groomer had told me the incorrect price and my shock upon hearing what my husband paid. The owner immediately blamed the groomer's response of "both dogs" actually meant they would "each" be $120 and I misunderstood him. I replied that is how anyone would understand his answer to my question. I politely let her know I would like the situation to be resolved with a refund of $120 and she went back and forth a bit telling me how I had already received a service I had accepted, so a refund wasn't really an acceptable option. I NEVER WOULD HAVE LEFT MY DOGS IF THE COST HAD BEEN CORRECTLY RELAYED. I let her know after reading the reviews, I was concerned with miscommunications on the costs seemed to be a trend and that was concerning. I next stated I didn't want to be one of those also leaving a one star review and hoped we could get this resolved with my refund...to which she replied now she was feeling uncomfortable because I was threatening her.

To use the very strong and upsetting term "threaten", I am beyond offended. Staying calm and respectful, I let her know that was not what I wanted and said something along the lines of "I have many friends and family in Smithville and do not want to tell them not to use you, I would just like my money back." Which then she turned into how uncomfortable the conversation was making her with all of my "threats". She ended with we could meet at Zumas and have 24 hours to "cool down".

I am sure this will get a response from her as to which I will say, never once did I raise my voice or act anything other than respectful, only voicing my desire is to be refunded $120 and move on. If you wish to charge exorbitant amounts for grooming and clients are willing to pay, then that is you prerogative, but the trend in the reviews in seeing that customers are not being told correct prices and then charged surprisingly large amounts shows that there is a serious ongoing issue. It is equally disturbing that an owner meet a customer's concerns over miscommunication in cost with accusing the customer of "threatening" her. I have never dealt with less professionalism in my life.

Will not use again. Was over 2 hours late for the appointment. Was quoted $300.00 to $330 for 3 dogs. Was charged $434.70 for all 3. Bait and switch. You told me I was the first appt for the morning. I told you I had stuff to do that day. And she never quoted me a price when she saw my dogs. Had she said $140 per dog at the start I would not have agreed. Not sure how you stay in business.
