I've wanted a Doberman as long as I can remember. Despite my genuine efforts, at 7 months old, I had a rude, manipulative, insatiable adolescent upon my hands who was quite literally running my life and me ragged trying to keep up with her mischief. Disappointed with the professional training options I found within a 3 hour radius, I pushed my search area just a little further and was blessed to find Mike. He's on a different level than any other trainer I spoke to and the training environment he offers is in a class of its own. Mike instilled good manners, a system by which I can communicate clearly with my pup, and an ability in her to just be calm in the house. Upon returning home, I was watching the client videos with my pup and she absolutely lit up when she heard Mike's voice! Without reservation, if your dog needs traing, Ozark Canine Academy is the solution to your problems. I look forward to sending my pup back for additional training as she progresses towards Service Dog status.

We cannot recommend Mike at Ozark Canine Academy enough! He has trained three of our Labradors over the years, and each experience has been absolutely phenomenal. Mike’s knowledge, patience, and training technique has set them up for a solid foundation.

This is a review that is long overdue. We took our very anxious english cream golden retriever to Ozark Canine in the fall of 2023 at about 6 months of age and Birdie came back more confident and well behaved than we could have ever imagined. Mike is the real deal when it comes to dog training…it’s amazing to watch him interact with the dogs. Not only is he super fun to work with, he really cares and puts the time & effort to help your pup get the most out the experience. I’d 120% recommend if you’re looking to give your dog the best quality of life since his training is unbeatable and the investment is way worth it. Our Darla came back her goofy & loving self, but can now make good choices. It’s incredible to see. We cannot thank you enough, Mike!!!

I can not thank Mike enough for the work he Did with my ill behaved German Shepherd. He literally came back a new dog. Mike had him for 27 days in January, just got back from a walk and he did so well around other dogs, he didn't bark once at people running by, he was a good boy. Just can't say enough about the great work Mike did.

If looking for someone who is going to personally invest in your dog, Mike is the guy.

I always research and evaluate options on big decisions and who to trust with your new dog is a big decision! After talking with various training companies in the NWA area, I couldnt find any that I was comfortable with. Everyone seemed too corporate, like my dog would be just another number in their kennel.

After calling Mike, he made me feel comfortable about trusting Stella for the RIGHT KIND of training. Spend time listening to him, he understands the psychology of dogs and uses it to shape their behavior.

Mike is an outstanding guy, a patriot, and I can confidently say he is the best guy in NWA to train a dog. Very pleased with the results. 10/10 will use him again with our next puppy.

Ozark Canine Academy is the place to go for boarding and training your dogs. The owner and head trainer Mike is the real deal. He trained dogs at the highest level as an Army Ranger within the United States Army Special Operations Command. One of the greatest things about Mike is his honesty and ability to set realistic expectations for you and your dog. I've found that other training companies tend to tell you what you want to hear in order to sell you their service. Many of these other companies hire hourly employees to train your dog but Ozark Canine Academy does it differently. Mike personally trains your dog and is completely hands on. If you need your dog trained, don't hesitate to call Mike. He's the best in the business!

We dropped off a 6 month old that was scared of every sound and fast movement and wouldn’t listen to anything, 4 weeks later we picked up a well mannered, self confident pup that was still his goofy self but is the best dog to live with now. Off leash walks daily, very well mannered around the grandkids and all people in general(no jumping on them) Highly recommend!!!!
